Dion Zessin

Dion Zessin is a freelance psychiatric researcher and writer, and author of the book Codex Alternus: A Research Collection of Alternative and Complementary Treatments for Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder and Associated Drug-Induced Side Effects. He has learned from years of experience as a psychiatric consumer, and is an avid book worm that is determined to learn all he can about the subjects he researches. He specializes in researching alternative and complementary medicine for serious mental illness in adults. Since 2012, he has been a volunteer researcher for the non-profit organization Safe Harbor, providing new information for their database. In the past he has extensively researched somatopsychic disorders, and how psychiatric medications cause mental, physical and social harm. He supports freedom of choice in mental health care, and the consumer/survivor/ex-patient movement.
