Abimbola Farinde is proud to be involved with Mad in America. She looks forward to the opportunities for collaborative endeavors and insightful discussions that can ensue among professionals various clinical backgrounds and/or discipline, and working to promote the awareness of mental health issues among the general public. She has experience serving as an editor and reviewer for several healthcare/medical publications. She comes from a psychopharmacology and geriatric background, having worked with patient populations that include jail inmates, children and adolescents in juvenile detention, the veteran population, active duty soldiers, and individuals with mental impairments and developmental delays. Through the course of my diverse clinical experiences, she has come to realize the benefits that can be achieved from the initiation of evidence-based pharmacological and/or psychological interventions.
