Yale RebPsych is a trainee-led conference that examines the intersection of social justice and mental health. RebPsych 2020: Decolonizing Mental Health asks what decolonizing mental health looks like today, and how we can build on these past efforts. We hope to raise questions about the colonial institutions and frameworks that currently inform our understanding of mental illness, addiction, or psychosocial distress.
RebPsych 2020 is an online webinar series, kicked off by keynote speaker Dr. Angela Garcia on Friday, October 9 at 10:15 AM EST then followed by six weekly sessions on Thursdays at 6:00 - 7:30 PM EST from October 15 to November 19. Registration is free and available at tinyurl.com/rebpsych. Dr. Garcia's keynote address, the full program, & more info is available at https://medicine.yale.edu/psychiatry/rebpsych/.
Closed captioning in English will be available and a recording and transcript will be provided to registrants.
