MIA is not the only game in town, got something to say go here > http://www.psychforums.com/anti-psych/
UHS psychiatric hospital kidnaps 6 year old 186 views I got in a few days. Be up to 1000 in a month.
Could use some AP posters here > http://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/mental-health/ Mental Health (26 Viewing)
I would like to see someone run the soberrecovery mental health section, first time I looked in months and it desperately needs and anti psych voice. I always hit to hard and get banned but someone should take a shot at it.
All I know is I don’t need MIA to effect things, expose the lies and crimes by the psych industry, I can reach 1000s of people real quick these forums and YouTube and reviews and twitter … You can too.
I’ve been banned from the schizophrenia forum which is ran by mostly mothers of schizophrenics and they sure want keep their offspring on anti-psychotic meds. I also have been banned by several youtube channels. They even deleted all my comments. On this other forum, they were convinced that I was some other poster who had come back with a new user name, and they banned my ip.
It’s difficult to get the word out about psych meds, but if I even just stop one person from going down that road, it is worth it.June 3, 2017 at 9:59 am #104015July 15, 2017 at 7:58 pm #107115
Check “In The News” — It seems that everything there is “news” about “curing” something, even though the “MI”-word is avoided. And it seems that “Around The Web” is chock full of “pop-psych” links that sort of insult the traditional MIA audience with the superficiality of their content. Meanwhile there seem to be fewer intelligent and provocative blogs of the sort to which we have become accustomed. Is this just me being jaded, or does anyone else notice a dampening of that “cutting edge” quality of late?
Dude you were right. It just took me a wile.
This place is just lefty socialist propaganda “pop-psych” links that sort of insult the traditional MIA audience and I was really into this.
The children have “broken brains” was too much for me. The the article says they did animal experiments too.
I guess pushing the broken brain BS and animal torture is OK as long is it somehow promotes socialism.
Sick of this place.July 15, 2017 at 8:00 pm #107116

Oops, forgot to post the website than banned me: https://forum.schizophrenia.com/
Welcome to the world of anti psych activism. There is nothing like censorship to motivate you to learn all the proxy tricks to get around bans . “Bans” what a joke, the hardest part is hiding your MO when starting a new screen name. I will send you @ psych forums the most important thing I learned about bans, so far this one method I have just works. Discovered it myself.July 16, 2017 at 6:45 pm #107159mikParticipant

Responding to your initial post, Oldhead…
I am tending to agree.
When I stumbled across the site there was heaps of info on SSRIs, psych drug withdrawal, and the means by which psychiatry effectively makes people unwell and keeps them unwell for a shortened and miserable life. The site gave me the information and tools I needed to recognise the bullshit and work myself free of both the drugs and the brainwashing.
If I came here as a first timer now, that would not be the case. As you say, lots of pop-psych links, quite a bit of superficiality, and very little hard hitting stuff by bloggers about research findings regarding the most commonly prescribed and dangerous drugs. Yes, there was quite a bit of soft stuff on benzo-awareness, and we have quite a bit on the evil art of drugging kiddies, but really, the site does seem to have lost its edge. Hickey is a notable exception, but he seems to be a less frequent contributor theses days.
Seems the site has taken a softly-softly approach aimed at appeasing the psychiatric mainstream and aligning itself more with the “wellness” industry….errrk!September 28, 2017 at 1:56 pm #114441AnonymousInactiveNovember 9, 2018 at 1:40 pm #167559
Shadow banning (also called stealth banning, ghost banning or comment ghosting) is the act of blocking or partially blocking a user or their content from an online community such that it will not be readily apparent to the user that they have been banned.
Shadow banning – Wikipedia
Watch out for it MIA is doing this to me. I know how to play the IP address game learned from fighting censorship on other sites but The simplest way to check for a shadow ban is after posting from a computer to look for your post on a phone.
This website is degenerating from being about Human Rights in psychiatry to a neo liberal George Soros puppet site.
My post shadow banned not for being off topic but for not going along with neo liberal views.
Old school liberal were cool. These Neos are just just puppets and they don’t even know it.November 9, 2018 at 4:24 pm #167562
The shadow ban seems to have been corrected as I can see my comments once again unless the system is more sophisticated then I am but if thats the case its a shame cause without controversy in the comments its going to get boring and stale and view numbers just going to drop.
Maybe some person with the inability to counter argue my controversial comments clicked “report comment” and that activated the shadow block I don’t know. What I do know is I support alot of “left” ideas but when they start playing with censorship it really only motivates me to go after the left as a whole.
Censorship and the attacks on the second amendment it does become difficult to stay out of the left vs right little box and not be motivated to just side with the right.
That shadow block method no matter where it came from is sneaky and snake like, I prefer honesty like a message such as “this comment awaiting moderation” that the poster and everyone reading the comment section can see. I get that with true “free speech” the comment section would be filled with 1000 links to porn sites and online pharmacies but WTFNovember 12, 2018 at 11:40 am #167650
Here is what the MIA shadow ban looks like.
On internet explorer I can see my comment but then if I look at the page from the Tor Browser I see what everyone else sees. I see 9 comments (mine included) at 650 views then when I go look from TOR I see 651 views and 8 comments, mine shadow banned.
Download Tor https://www.torproject.org/download The Onion Router (TOR) Browser is designed to anonymize the data relayed across it. Using Tor’s software will make it difficult (almost impossible) for anyone to see your online activity. They also won’t be able to tell what country you’re in or locate you by an IP address.
To stay on topic “is MIA going downhill ?” to answer that look at MIA several years ago and compare it to now
https://web.archive.org/web/*/https://www.madinamerica.com so far Saved 981 times between September 22, 2001 and November 6, 2018.
This website used to be all about stopping psychiatric atrocities, now its mostly about lefty political propaganda. I think this website is getting George Soros money now.November 16, 2018 at 9:24 am #167851Robert RiseParticipant
