Lawmakers Ask DEA to Delay Kratom Ban
September 24, 2016
By Pat Anson, Editor
A bipartisan group of nearly 50 congressmen have signed a letter asking the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration to delay a decision that would classify kratom as a Schedule I controlled substance, a move that would make the sale and possession of the herb a felony offense.
The letter, which will be sent on Monday to acting DEA administrator Charles Rosenberg, was written and circulated on Capitol Hill by Rep. Mark Pocan (D-Wisconsin) and Rep. Matt Salmon (R-Arizona). A second letter is being sent to Shaun Donovan, the director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), urging him to use his “statutory authority” to delay the DEA’s regulatory action. http://www.painnewsnetwork.org/stories/2016/9/24/lawmakers-ask-dea-to-delay-kratom-banSeptember 26, 2016 at 10:52 am #81986
Why is kratom recommend as a remedy for opiate withdrawals?
Kratom contains many unique alkaloids that we are just beginning to understand the effects of, but some people have used Kratom to ease withdrawal pain, reduce cravings and act as a home remedy from hydrocodone, oxycodone, oxycontin, suboxone, heroin and other narcotics. https://www.opiate-freedom-center.com/kratom-for-opiate-withdrawal-relief/September 26, 2016 at 11:01 am #81987
02/16/2013 -ATIN- Giving voice to what many in the drug rehab alcohol rehab addiction treatment field have been complaining about with increasing anger, one of the nation’s most prestigious prescription drug buying organizations has filed a suit seeking class action status that flat out accuses the maker of Suboxone of engaging in underhanded and deceptive practices the aim of which is to illegally gain monopoly control in the market for buprenorphine-based therapies for the treatment of opiate addiction. In an event never even remotely seen before in the very limited history of addictions pharmacology, Suboxone has achieved the highly coveted status of becoming a “blockbuster” drug, achieving at least $1BN in worldwide annual sales, according to the lawsuit, which was filed late last week against Suboxone manufacturer Reckitt Benckiser in Delaware federal court by Rochester Drug Co-Operative Inc. http://www.treatmentmagazine.com/newswires/353-suit-alleging-illegal-suboxone-monopoly-filed-against-reckitt-benckiser.html

I tried Kratom twice at a cafe, both times it was nice for a wile, it pushed anxiety down and motivation up a little bit but the icky kind of depleted after effect feeling when it was over made me really not want to mess with it again. I was not impressed with it.
The people in the cafe all chill and socializing but not loud or anything like an alcohol bar.February 19, 2019 at 7:10 pm #175696
Why would you ban it? it is widely used and 100% natural. Otherwise, you can buy it online if you want – https://www.ouchclub.com/kratom/where-to-buy-kratom-online/
