I’m just wondering if I am the only medical student who is interested in psychiatry reform.

It’s a very noble task, but, at times, it can be a bit confusing and emotionally troubling.

I’m hoping to connect with other like-minded individuals who are currently in the process of pursuing a psychiatry residency or who have gone through the process already.

This is very interesting, but maybe you need to explain your statement more. Like for example https://artscolumbia.org/literary-arts/drama/essay-crucible-arthur-miller-42571/. Personally I don’t see any benefits for students in this reform. Why are you so obsessed with it?

The psychiatric care of tomorrow exists in the minds of medical students today. As well as residents, doctors, even patients. I think the views of Mad in America need to be spoken, heard, and explained to the aforementioned groups. Instead of this viewpoint being rare and against the grain, why not make this thinking mainstream, make it the norm. So I thought let’s start with the minds of medical students.
