I’m considering developing a chatbot AI for mental health which might actually be useful. I think it would be somewhere within my capabilities as a programmer and nice-person. I’ve had some no-so-helpful conversations on crisis lines. I’d much rather model it on the active listening training I’ve gotten, and warm-line strategies. Just something that would always be available at 3am or whenever you’re hurting.

It could know of resources in your area or online.
It could possibly be programmed to be private. Just store conversations locally?
It could draw from many more recovery and coping strategies than probably any one person knows of.
You could chat for as many hours as you want.
It could have dumb microtransactions to encourage donations, but not actually improve base function. (Making it look like a talking cat lol)

Any other ideas. I’m interested in knowing if I can make a useful chatbot at this point.
