Why are all the responses/comments on the main pages italicized? It’s irritating!
If the authorities admitted they were bad for the environment, folks would start asking, “Why am I swallowing this twice a day? Why am I force-feeding this crap to my 5-year-old son?”
October 24, 2017 at 10:50 am in reply to: Benzo Buddies attacks Mad in America as being TOO anti-psychiatry #120374
Shep at Surviving Antidepressants also left her position as a moderator at BB under a cloud of controversy.
I am grateful for them tho; when I was in acute after my jump, I had NO IDEA what was happening to me, and neither did my ‘health care’ team at the clinic I used. Searched for information on the internet and came up with BenzoBuddies…and learned just what hell I had stepped into.
Yeah, there’s lots of whining, but that’s what a lot of people do when they feel like shit for years at a time…BB is what it is. I personally got sick of the constant talk of god and praying.
I turned my unused pharma back to the pharmacy from whence they came; the pharmacist told me they return them to the DEA.
Please don’t throw your pills in the toilet; they end up in the water supply. I realize you can’t turn them in at the pharmacy, but poisoning fish/aquatic life/humans isn’t cool.
Surviving Antidepressants is refreshing after the Nazi-like control over at BB but short on interactivity.
Shep is particularly helpful. You might PM her.August 22, 2017 at 2:35 pm in reply to: Self Determination and Informed Consent – worked, sort of #109406
Good that you’ve made it thru the maze, so far…but are you saying that even tho you had ‘allergic to lithium’ in your chart, they forced you to take it anyways?
Good luck to you and keep on fighting~
You’re in the right place, fish guy.
You will get help and support from the Surviving Antidepressants website: there’s a separate category for Benzos…I highly recommend you look up ‘Shep’–she’s a moderator and not only has a way with words, but has been down the long hard road that is getting off benzos/psych meds.
There’s also BenzoBuddies, a site that I have personal criticisms of but many find useful.
You might also look at Monica Cassini’s blog, Beyond Meds:
There’s a myriad of symptoms associated with withdrawal from benzos, and what you are describing is perfectly ‘normal’ for this process.
Mad in America has many stories about benzo withdrawal and the dangers of benzos…it seems to me that over the last 3 1/2 years that I’ve been dealing with the fallout of getting off psych meds/benzos, that more and more attention is being directed at the problem. Some escape unscathed and others find it one of the most difficult things they’ve ever done.
Good luck to you~

I never use Google.
Been using DuckDuckGo for years, but even it isn’t perfect.
OK–I use Google Maps occasionally; unfortunately, or not, my operating system is so old, most of the time I get pixelated gibberish. I *do* hope that goes both ways…
Maybe should post this in another category, but which one?
Excellent read about corruption in ‘health care’….
Thanks for commenting, epthe.
I’m doing what I can in my neighborhood as well.
Too good to let pass unnoticed.
I’d love to link that video to a certain site where random cretins are all about Mr. Jones. It’s so very hard to imagine that guy gets any traction!!!
Worth sending on to stubborn TV watchers.
