The National Trauma Campaign is virtually screening the film "Resilience" to help advocates better communicate issues and needs to Congress.
Resilience reveals, toxic stress can trigger hormones that wreak havoc on the brains and bodies of children, putting them at a greater risk for disease, homelessness, prison time, and early death. While the broader impacts of poverty worsen the risk, no segment of society is immune. Resilience, however, also chronicles the dawn of a movement that is determined to fight back.

In this webinar, Sarah Felman will recount a first person narrative of a suicide attempt survivor and describe how this experience can be used to critique current measures of suicide “prevention.” She suggests that “logotherapy,” or helping people find meaning in their lives, may be more effective.
