Holistic Mental Health Network presents: A Daughter's Quest for Compassionate Medical Care

Holistic Mental Health Network presents: A Daughter's Quest for Compassionate Medical Care

October 10, 2019

Our October presenter, Llee Sivitz, knows what it’s like to advocate for a loved one near the end of their life and in our medical care system today. In fact, she had such a powerful experience advocating for her mom that she felt compelled to write about it. Llee originally wrote Speaking Up For Mom as a guide for her husband and adult children should they ever need to advocate for her, but she soon realized that this information was crucial to share. Llee will walk us through her story and what she thought she knew -- and we’ll learn what we really need to know -- if or when we find ourselves needing to speak up for someone we love.
Our presenter:

Llee Sivitz graduated from the University of Florida College of Journalism, and eventually became a Fitness and Travel reporter for The Cincinnati Enquirer. She later worked as a public relations consultant for local non-profits while pursuing another passion, natural healing and whole-food nutrition. Llee recently published her book, Speaking Up For Mom: A Daughter’s Quest For Compassionate Medical Care, in the spirit of using her writing to help others feel empowered to help themselves.

Join us for our monthly meeting (see above)
7pm - 9pm Thursday, Oct. 10 (1st hr. presentation, 2nd hour sharing)

21st Annual Conference of the International Network for Philosophy and Psychiatry: ‘Experts in Mental Health’

October 22, 2019 October 24, 2019

INPP 2019 will gather many specialists from all over the world: philosophers, sociologists, historians, psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, medical doctors, nurses etc.

There are many more topics that you can become familiar with at this link >>The overall goal of the INPP 2019 conference is to influence current theoretical, clinical, social, and political debates on those subjects.
