Karin Jervert is a teaching artist, writer, and Mad Pride activist. Founder of the Woodland Sunflower Collective, Karin’s work centers on offering a non-pathologizing approach to living with and finding the gifts of diverse consciousness, visionary states, clairvoyant, and clairaudient experiences. After working in the non-profit arts sector in New Jersey, USA for 15 years, she served as the Arts Editor at Mad in America. At Mad in America she did talks and ran arts workshops around the world online, facilitated a weekly co-arting group, and curated several online shows including Creativity and COIVD: Art-Making During the Pandemic and Teen Arts: Beyond Labels and Meds. She also ran the first annual online Mad Poetry Slam. Currently, she serves as the Mad in the World Liaison working with 18 “Mad in” sites around the world.

Karin is also a performing and published poet as Sunday blu, with two self published poetry books, In Water not Blood and Threads, as well as a graphic memoir, Tea and Ten Thousand Things. Find out more about her writing, art, and poetry here.
