The stigmatizing is really due to failing to understand how the illness effects people more so. Families hide it from other families. They are viewed as being nutcases by the public. Under the effects of a psychosis if a mother kills their child they are looked on as doing it on purpose. Yet a lot of us can understand why it can happen. While the majority of people don’t harm, the public still cannot comprehend how the illness effects us. It’s not an illness most of us can talk about to friends or relatives because they don’t know much about it. It’s an illness difficult to comprehend not like they can do with cancer or heart disease. Under mania i actually become far more artistic. Another person’s skills maybe passed on violent video game play where they believe they have superpowers. I can imagine how violent video games can desensitize individuals to real-life violence aggravating harm OCD and creating a very delusional life acted out on a play due to the mania and bringing that to reality.
