If your life’s been touched by mental illness
Know that depression is a type of stillness
A state of deep rest, if you will
A time for recovery, sitting still
Mania is a form of expression
You are alive, and creative
A storm of ideas
Nobody knows why it happens at all
I simply live to serve my call
