No waiting list: that exists only for those who voluntarily request help and are allowed to wait for months, sometimes with fatal consequences. And unlike a prison cell, which the State pays for, you pay for this all-inclusive package yourself: a deductible of 385 euros upfront, and if you stay longer than three years, the CAK collects an income-dependent contribution until your savings run out—after all, you no longer have an income. Going Dutch, literally: you pay for your own confinement.
