Emma Isabella Aluise is a student and advocate committed to exposing therapeutic abuse within the troubled teen industry (TTI). After spending 14 months in a TTI boarding school, she became interested in the psychological mechanisms that sustain institutional harm and its long-term effects on survivors. She studies psychology with a focus on research and advocacy. Outside her studies, she does photography under the name Carrotpaint and sings in a jazz choir.
