“It is unfair that women (I think especially mothers) are significantly more burdened than men, though, and the gender gap in depression continues to exist.” I don’t understand how this is unfair. More women are diagnosed with it, but that may be because men are more reluctant to see a doctor about. Or are you implying that women encounter stressors more intense and numerous than men? I would disagree with that. I don’t think it’s helpful to try to make this a social justice issue.
