CHRONOLOGY OF PSYCHIATRY’S ROLE IN CREATING THE HOLOCAUST
In November 2010, Dr. Frank Schneider, president of the German Association of Psychiatrists issued a public apology for psychiatry’s creation of the ideology that developed Nazi euthanasia and their role in the selection of those to be murdered as well as murdering others themselves.
-German psychiatrists created the “racial hygiene” movement, which began with the work of eugenicist Alfred Ploetz in 1895. The idea stemmed from English psychologist Francis Galton who in 1883 coined the term “eugenics,” which he defined as “the science of improving the stock.”
-Almost 40 years after Ploetz wrote The Fitness of Our Race and the Protection of the Weak, his theories gained supremacy with the passage of the 1933 Sterilization Act in Nazi Germany and the concept of “lives unworthy of living.”
-This led to psychiatrists in Germany murdering tens of thousands of people that were “racially or mentally unfit,” long before the Holocaust began, and these same psychiatrists helped establish the killing centers during the Holocaust.
Millions of people were killed during the Holocaust in Germany.

  • ‘…The fact is, these doctors have a moral obligation to know what is happening to their patients, who are undergoing great suffering because of what is being done to them.

For whatever reason, they choose to ignore this.

As someone whose childhood was taken away by one of the leaders of her profession, who was shocked and raped and tortured at a young age by psychiatry, I find this attempt to make excuses for the behavior of psychiatrists really offensive. …’-

I 2nd and have a lot of affinity for Ted’s (Chabasinski) statement here. (In my case, it was the 1st decade, at least, of my adult life that was taken from me). As Ted, and I’m sure many of ‘us’, I find the almost endless commentary attempting to explain psychiatric abuse/ fraud / misrepresentation/ coercion/ negligence/… -offensive, and a time wasting attempt at justification.

I believe you should all condense your ramblings for the sake of ‘public consumption’, in an effort to really communicate to the public who need to become much more informed about the harm, fraud, abuse of health-rights-liberties, that psychiatry has been and is- rather than the assemblage of justification here.

You may learn more, and benefit more, by observing the efforts and actions of the CCHR, and seeking common ground with more ‘ordinary’ (less academic) people like myself. – jim keiser, pg admin, Mental health/psychiatric watchdog & reform activity- https://www.facebook.com/jpkeis

  • I hope there is much truth to this statement, related to this! “…Freedom of information… constantly counteracts the inherent desire of tyrants to oppress and control information. The very existence of electronic, decentralized media is anti-tyrannical by its very nature. The democratization of information automatically leads to the democratization of power,……Your mainstream media blackouts will backfire and make alternative media more popular than ever……Escalations of coercion only encourage greater resistance…”-Mike Adams(the “Health Ranger”)

  • I agree with the ‘multi-issue’ approach, and ‘economies of influence’ degrading influences in ‘mental health’, psychiatric domination, and so many other overlapping issues needing change. But it seems your article here overlooks the importance of ‘from the bottom up’ influences as well as ‘top down’! The activities of groups/ individuals involved in raising public awareness- whether the public of voters or non voters- of harms/risks/better alternatives may be even more important in reforming psychiatry/’mental health’ by reforming the Demand side of those economies of influence. Without Demand, the corrupted Supply dries up.

  • Why can you not work with a Scientologist Paula Caplan? CCHR was co-founded by the Church of Scientology, and Dr Szasz who was never a Scientologist. Do you have strong disagreement with him as well? The Mission Statement and activities of CCHR don’t indicate anything religious from my experience. Do they from yours? Would assistance from an attorney on APA racketeering, or other charges be more acceptable from a Hindu, Buddhist, Muslem or Christian attorney? How?

  • ‘Karen Hen Ninger writes- Did you know that Archie Bunker was anti-psychiatry? Heard this on a rerun tonight…
“Anyone that goes to a psychiatrist should have his head examined!” Archie Bunker’

(Then they may find out something fishy- fraudulent- has been going on)_

    I’m with Archie- jim k-

The exposure, reporting of, and hopeful activism resulting from the exposure/reporting of:
Consent, coercion, disclosure, involuntary treatment, culpable negligence, misrepresentation, conflict of interest, fraud, ghostwriting, health risks, harmful outcomes &alternatives issues related to: professional ethics, conduct and standards issues in psychiatry&mental health.

The hopeful result is to improve the outcomes of people with mental ‘illness’, and the ‘mental health’ of individuals, their families and communities.-

  • (my comments to the recent NY Times article Obama Announces Gun Control Actions, related to the above, linked below)-

Per your article-“While the vast majority of Americans who experience a mental illness are not violent, in some cases when persons with a mental illness do not receive the treatment they need the result can be tragedies such as homicide or suicide.”-President Obama:

Psychiatric patients subjected to the drug/shock oriented ‘treatment’ of mainstream psychiatry often do become very physically ill, disabled, and possibly violent or suicidal as the result of this form of treatment, not as the result of an inherent, labeled mental illness, as those promoting psychiatric treatment often suggest. Current drug black box warnings, and independent research provide overwhelming evidence of this, as well as the facts about the mental health/ psychiatric ‘treatment’ histories of the ‘mass shooters’ and others-

The President’s statement is true, but is only a partial address of the problem. Yes, suicides and homicides do tend to sometimes follow mainstream psychiatric treatment- not the kind of treatment the offenders needed. The prior psychiatric treatment received by those who commit violent crimes needs independent investigation and disclosure, without the influences of the special interests and lobbies of the drug industry, and psychiatry.

Can the President and others elected to serve ‘the people’ overcome the influence of these special interests and lobbies?- jim keiser , Page admin https://www.facebook.com/jpkeis (Mental health/psychiatric watchdog & reform activity) http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2014/01/03/obama-announces-gun-control-actions/?smid=fb-share
