Hi. I’m so glad to have found your work, and am looking forward to reading your book. My story is like many others, I’m sure: we are getting pressured by the school to have our 6 year old son diagnosed; he is clever and funny and soooo smart — he spends time daydreaming in his first grade class, which apparently, bothers the teacher. We have pushed back — medication is OUT of the question, and we are not interested in a diagnosis — but the school is pushing harder; school has barely been in session for two weeks! I’m wondering what else can we do? What are the next steps? My concern is that if we disobey the school, our son will get marginalized. It seems like a lose-lose situation, and I would like to change that. Thank you.
