  • Hi Aubrey,
I also emailed the governor’s office on your behalf, and got a quick reply yesterday, although it didn’t amount to anything (Thank you for sharing your concern. We will continue to work with her.”].
Nevertheless, keep up the fight. You speak for many more who are not able to do so.
    Thank you for that.
    Wishing you strength and peace.

  • Aubrey,
Thank you so much for sharing your story. My own nephew has a similar story–a Munchausen-by-Proxy biological mother, who used the mental health system against him while “enjoying” the attention of being the “poor mom” with a child with “mental Illness.” What’s scarey–a real life nightmare–is how easy it is for these sick souls to perpetrate this crime on their children within the realm of the “mental health system.” My nephew broke away before she could get guardianship of him (which she learned about through NAMI). He was terrified, and literally disappeared for several years; lived in homeless shelters, until family found him earlier this year. To complicate matters, he is an Aspie (diagnosed in middle school) who has a hard enough time learning to cope with the neurotypical world and life, without having an abusive parent. He’s a sweet, good kid; drug free (and always has been except for what his mother forced on him). He’s now living with caring family, that is slowly helping him gain confidence, feel loved, and we’ll eventually move him toward normalizing his life as much as he is able.
