I very highly doubt that it is simply due to more labeling. Yes, it is very easy to get labeled and drugged and damaged but getting SSI or SSDI approved is very, very hard. People need to have a very compelling and documented case and are many times denied for years and years and many give up. Go in the withdrawal forums/groups and see for yourself. Many people that deserve and need to get assistance are not getting it including myself, so the real disability rates are really much higher than the numbers reflect.
