In a YouTube video called, “Addiction to Prescription Drugs”, Barry and Sue Haslam talk about the effects of benzodiazepine drugs. They each reflect on Barry’s personal experience with Ativan, the Oldham Tranx support group, and the impact of these drugs more generally on people.
Barry says about this video, “It was recorded in late 2013 by the Charity, Addiction Dependency Solutions (ADS ) whose head office is in Manchester, England. The real pertinent point is that ADS have run a Benzodiazepine Withdrawal Service for prescribed benzodiazepine drug addicts since 2004 here in Oldham and the service is currently still contracted to ADS. In addition the charity has opened other such services in the North West of England and in the Midlands. We urgently need these type of dedicated services countrywide and worldwide.”
