Gina Nikkel is the Executive Director of the Foundation for Excellence in Mental Health Care and an Assistant Clinical Professor in Psychiatry at Oregon Health and Sciences University. She has worked extensively in mental health and addictions policy, leadership and management, health care financing and political advocacy. In her previous roles as executive director for the Association of Oregon Community Mental Health Programs, Tillamook County Commissioner and Community Mental Health Clinical Supervisor, she gained experience in all aspects of Community Mental Health. She will tell you that she has learned the most from people with lived experience.
