Antidepressants can affect neurotransmitters involved in regulation of the iris, say researchers in the Journal of Clinical Psychopharmacology. In a study of acute angle-closure glaucoma in 6,470 patients, the odds of antidepressant exposure immediately prior to episodes were 62% greater among those exposed to antidepressants.
