Jennifer Maurer is the managing director for Mother Bear Family Mental Health Network, a nonprofit organization and fund of the Foundation for Excellence in Mental Health Care that is dedicated to supporting families through recovery education, family-led support communities and access to recovery resources that enable all family members to thrive.
Jennifer has worked extensively with non-profits to build holistic communities that support personal empowerment, recovery in relationship, and community engagement for broader social change. She has a master’s degree in sociology and has post-graduate training in Healing Touch, Somatic Experiencing, and Insight Dialogue. Jennifer is also a mother bear who has supported her family’s experiences of emotional distress using a variety of healing approaches and community-based supports.
