Ohio Training

We are pleased to announce that the Academy on Violence and Abuse in conjunction with the Mental Health and Recovery Board and Samaritan Regional Health System will be hosting its first Regional Academy in Ashland, Ohio on April 16th. This event will focus on the Adverse Childhood Experiences study and the ongoing impact of its wealth of data on physical and emotional health outcomes across the lifespan. Ashland will welcome one of the main researchers of the ACE study, Dr. Vincent Felitti, and four other nationally renowned researchers and specialists to present at this first-of-its-kind conference. This is a continuing education opportunity for physicians, nurses, social workers, and counselors and is offered free of charge to participants.
