“The Second Brain in Our Gastrointestinal Systems”

Scientific American has an excerpt from the book, The Good Gut: Taking Control of Your Weight, Your Mood and Your Long-Term Health. Written by Justin Sonnenburg and Erica Sonnenburg, the book explores “a superhighway between the brain and GI system that holds great sway over humans.” And the Journal of the American Medical Association also visits the issue of the influence of gut microbes on the mind.
