From the Coalition Against Psychiatric Assault: “Dear allies and community members,
The Coalition Against Psychiatric Assault (CAPA) is creating the first ever antipsychiatry library and we are seeking your help to make this happen. If you wish to share your materials critical of psychiatry, this is your chance!
The ‘Toronto Antipsychiatry Lending Library’ (TALL) will make history, as the first antipsychiatry library in the world. In filling a specific academic void, TALL is dedicated to building and making available to scholars, activists, and the community at large, a set of comprehensive materials to further a well-informed critique of psychiatry.
The library will likely launch in 2020, with an official opening at that time. For now, the library is kindly requesting donations from far and wide. TALL is seeking non-fiction books, literature, magazines, and films relevant to the study of the related areas of antipsychiatry, critical psychiatry, and mad studies.
For this library to exist, we depend on the generous donations from people such as yourselves. You can bring them in person or mail them to us through the following addresses:
