From Mad in Mexico: SinColectivo is a plural Mexican group of Experts by Experience and activists in psychosocial disabilities and Mad Culture created in Mexico City in 2019 and with national scope that has managed activities that seek to generate processes of awareness and participation of people with psychosocial disabilities in the demand of their full rights.
Throughout history, our group has been stigmatized and discriminated against for not complying with parameters of normality, functionality and productivity. We have been pathologized from approaches that end up justifying the restriction of our full rights, the imposition of coercive measures and the deprivation of our freedom, considering that our disruptive existence is potentially dangerous.
