From Mad in Italy: I’m 29 years old and I’ve spent the first part of my life really in joy, touching it with all 5 fingers. I had a wonderful family with whom I was fine and with whom I had deep emotional ties. I used to frequent a Scout group, do Karate and liked to go to the beach to fish. I played with kites while studying the direction of the wind.
Despite my commitment, I wasn’t doing very well at school and the teachers told me that I had to work harder. Afterwards, I was diagnosed with ASD (Learning Specific Learning Imples) and found myself suffering from dyscalculia. Unfortunately, the diagnosis came late, which did not allow me to receive the academic support I needed, with obviously negative repercussions on my schooling.
