From Mad in Finland: I would like to briefly share my experiences with the long-term harms of psychiatric medications, as well as my experiences with the lack of support and guidance when stopping medications, and what the lack of support in psychiatric medication matters can lead to at worst. For the first time, I received an anti-depressant and a sleep-inducing antipsychotic in 2018 for anxiety symptoms and mild low mood, which had arisen from trauma experiences and painful feelings of being outside during my studies and school days. Although my anxiety was intense, I feel that the medication was completely excessive.
