Scars to Your Beautiful by Alessia Cara

This week’s Song of the Week was recommended by MIA Reader Peanut Butter Cups:

“This is a song I wish I had heard when I was first involved in psychiatry 25 years ago when I was a teenager. I feel like the artist is very compassionate, and a voice that a young struggling person could use, a friend. So different from the way that the mental health system treats a person. I feel like this song is very healing for people who struggle with mental health issues, especially young women.”
