The era of idiotic comfort

From Mad in Argentina: There is no need for science fiction literature when the world is a science fiction spectacle. It is almost impossible to imagine planetary consummation because, despite a hopeful minority, we are the traction of that consummation. Although it weighs on us, we feel comfortable. What generates life, or what we believe to be life, the comfort of feeling alive, at the same time injects us with deadly doses. Little or nothing do we realize that pleasure is absolute and it also matters little or nothing whether the rudder is one of salvation or perdition.
