Helene Speyer, Clinical Associate Professor and specialist in psychiatry, senior researcher at Region Hovedstadens Psychiatry, shares for the first time her personal story about how she had a serious mental crisis at the age of 13 and encountered a non-diagnostic approach to her disorder, which resulted in that she was given a career in psychiatry instead of what most likely would have been a career as a psychiatric patient. Later, as an adult, she was a patient in the psychiatric system and realized that there was something completely wrong with this kind of help.
