Madness by Peter Hobden

They say that madness of the mind
Is just a sickness hurting kind
But what if madness is the balm
That heals the hurts and saves from harm

Just as the lover changes heart
Insane and crazy from the start
If love is madness, as they say
Might both unknowing have their way

Mad in America hosts blogs by a diverse group of writers. These posts are designed to serve as a public forum for a discussion—broadly speaking—of psychiatry and its treatments. The opinions expressed are the writers’ own.
