From Mad in Ireland: In January 24, 2023, Lindsay Clancy from Duxbury, Massachusetts took the lives of her three young children, Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and eight-month-old Callan, and was charged with three counts of first-degree murder. She entered a not guilty plea at her arraignment on February 7. From October 2022 to January 2023, six healthcare professionals prescribed, deprescribed and/or changed the dosage of Lindsay’s medications; three psychiatrists, two nurse practitioners, and a doctor. Based on the facts in a medical malpractice lawsuit that Lindsay filed against her healthcare providers in January 2026, she had been prescribed 11 different medications in the four months leading up to the homicides, including five antidepressants, three benzodiazepines, and a sleep medication, Ambien.

Andrea Yates comes to mind as well as the mother who drove her car with children into a lake. One needs to look at all the systems involved and because media is carrying it I worry for sensationalism instead of empathy and compassion.
