But the extent to which someone experiences support and protection from their social environment is also very decisive! Were you alone with your pain? Under such circumstances your system becomes disrupted and your body will be continuously alert and show a strong protective reaction at the slightest or slightest thing. The memory is stored in your entire body. Trust has made way for mistrust. Fear. This means that the protective system reacts quickly while it may not be necessary at all. Something less intense would also have been appropriate. Normal signals can then already be seen as threatening. At least if the memory registers this as a situation that you have already experienced before and where there was no escape or support.
