Prateeksha Sharma, PhD is the founder of the Bright Side Family Counseling Center and an invited research fellow at the Center for Disability Studies, at the Nalsar University of Law, Hyderabad, India. She is the author of Barriers to Recovery From Psychosis: A Peer Investigation of Psychiatric Subjectivation (2023) and editor of Many Ways to Heal: Therapeutic Possibilities in Mental Health (2025). She teaches classical music to a few students, trains peers for psychotherapy, advocates among teachers in diverse settings, learns with her octogenarian guru in the Kirana gharana tradition and lives with dogs and birds, tending to life in different forms.
