Dr. Somner received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency in Psychiatry and was the chief resident at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She completed her fellowship training in Anti-Aging Regenerative and Functional Medicine as well as Osteopathic principles and practice. Dr. Somner is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and brings over 15 years of experience in general psychiatry and non-narcotic pain management. She is also trained in medical acupuncture with an emphasis on the treatment of PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and traumatic brain injury in the military.
Dr. Somner joins a team of practitioners including Charles R. Richey, LCSW and Brenda H. Worrell, LCSW in offering a wide range of services for illnesses such as major depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders, schizophrenia and other emotional states or mental illnesses that render a person unable to function at the highest level.
