The focus of my practice is to help patients safely reduce or eliminate psychotropic medications when clinically appropriate. Too often, these medications are prescribed for the wrong reasons and continued indefinitely.
I take a highly individualized approach, using detailed medical history, kinesiological and laboratory testing to uncover the underlying causes of emotional and mental imbalances. My treatments combine herbal and nutritional support, neural therapy, acupuncture, and energetic as well as psychodynamic methods.
Medication tapering is done gradually and under close supervision to ensure safety and stability. My goal is to help patients achieve lasting health, emotional balance, and well-being.
A Unique, Integrative Psychiatric Practice
My psychiatric practice is distinct in its focus on the safe reduction of psychotropic medications and on helping patients avoid unnecessary psychiatric hospitalizations.
Rather than treating symptoms alone, my work begins with identifying and addressing the root causes of emotional and mental health conditions. Medication reduction is approached with great care, precision, and respect for everyone’s unique physiology and life experience.
I use a comprehensive assessment process that includes detailed personal history, laboratory evaluation, and energetic testing. No two patients are alike, and each treatment plan is individualized accordingly.
My integrative approach may include herbal, nutraceutical, and homeopathic remedies, as well as addressing factors such as toxicity, nutritional deficiencies, diet, sleep, and physical activity.
A particular area of expertise in my practice is the treatment of complex PTSD. This work often incorporates neural therapy—the use of carefully placed local anesthetic injections to help regulate and balance the autonomic nervous system—along with other therapeutic modalities such as EMDR, guided imagery, meditation, and structured writing exercises.
Following the reduction or elimination of medications, some patients benefit from ongoing supportive care, while many are able to return to stable, meaningful, and medication-free lives.
