Another Way is a community center in Montpelier, VT that offers peer support, advocacy, resources, and crisis response to psychiatric survivors and people at risk of psychiatric intervention.
Another Way provides a safe and friendly place to share community, to network and to learn from each other. We welcome everyone, especially persons seeking to overcome struggles and live well. Another Way grew out of the psychiatric survivor movement to counter oppressive systems of control and we continue to advocate for freedom and self-determination of care.
Our building is located on 125 Barre Street in downtown Montpelier. We are grateful to have commercial and community kitchens, art space, exercise room, music room, community room, library, greenhouse, workshop, large multi-purpose space, outdoor meeting area, 20 herbal, flower, and vegetable garden beds, and artistic garden structures created by community members.
