Pathways Vermont is a not for profit agency operating throughout the state of Vermont. We first opened our doors in Burlington in January 2010 with funding from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). We were charged with the mission of bringing the evidence-based practice Housing First to the rural state of Vermont. Pathways Vermont is a proud affiliate of Pathways to Housing, Inc – a New York City based organization led by Dr. Sam Tsemberis who is widely credited as being the originator of the Housing First model of addressing homelessness among people with psychiatric disabilities.
