John Henden writes of the the Campaign Against Psychiatric Drugs Abuse (CAPDA), launched officially on 13th January 2021 in the UK. CAPDA aims to change the current, outdated, and harmful psychiatric paradigm to avoid the loss of lives and debilitating side effects caused by psychiatric drugs. The campaign intends to achieve this goal by encouraging legal action against mental health organizations that engage in biomedical psychiatric practice. In the UK, one such case has already been won and there is hope that many other successes will follow. The organizers of the campaign are connecting with and supporting a growing body of aggrieved survivors of mental health services and grieving relatives and friends of those who did not survive, and are calling for others to get in touch with them to mobilize together.
