Activist collective Recovery in The Bin has written an appreciation of the life of Peter Campbell, one of the pioneers of the mental health user and survivor movement in the UK, who died last week. “He was a wonderful friend and support to many experiencing mental distress,” said sociologist Nikolas Rose, “and made a remarkable contribution to the movement to ensure that the experiences of those who have used psychiatric and mental services must be at the centre of any discussion about mental health policy and practice.”
