From Mad in Mexico: “In my opinion, the objective of therapeutic support should always aim at the inclusion (reintegration) of the person into the community, at building bridges that allow the free participation and reintegration of the person who for some reason has been separated from the social environment, for since the idea of that objective was always present in my mind, without ever knowing how to carry it out, I could even accuse myself of lack of understanding and interest in it, leading me to settle for acting in everyday life as a method more than sufficient to be able to achieve this objective, it was not until some time later that I realized that it was of no use if this action and this institutional daily life were not supported by a community intervention plan that we could really think about drawing up an inclusion plan.”
