From Mad in America Hispano Hablante. With one of the highest mental health expenditures in Europe, the Netherlands is going through a period of profound reconsideration of its mental health system, a process that is accelerating throughout the region. In a recent interview with Dr. van Os on Madness Radio – one of the most prestigious scientists in the world, in the 1% of the most cited researchers and member of the Royal Dutch Academy of Sciences (RDAS) – I was able to glimpse what is beginning to emerge. The changes that are happening in the Netherlands have the potential to influence the mental health system on a global scale.
