Echando Pa’Lante Podcast: Esperanza, Coloniaje y Puerto Rico w/ José Luiggi-Hernández

MIA science writer José Luiggi-Hernández is interviewed in Spanish by the Echando Pa’Lante mental health podcast: “In this episode we talk about his chapter, ‘La experiencia de esperanza dentro del contexto colonial puertorriqueño’ (‘The Experience of Hope Within the Puerto Rican Colonial Context’), published in the book Psicología en Puerto Rico: Desafíos contextuales y retos para la acción (Psychology in Puerto Rico: Contextual Challenges and Challenges for Action). Luiggi tells us about the research he did which led to him writing this chapter. We also talked about the debate in Puerto Rico about Puerto Rican resilience and dialogue about the term ‘esperanzar’ (when I move to change my context, change the world, in light of the hope I feel).”

“There are many people in Puerto Rico who are tired of being resilient.” – José Luiggi-Hernández
