I wanted to feel relief, I wanted to convince myself something was “better”, but all it felt like was emptiness. “Didn’t you see me? Didn’t you hear me?” I feel this lyric expresses how psychiatry does not see or hear people in mental distress and Sinead’s story reminds me of how much suffering this can cause.”
