Altered State by Teddy Thompson

This week’s Song of the Week was suggested by MIA reader Val:

“We all want the magic pill, and most of us want to choose when to take it (too often). Rationalizing substance use is one agenda that surfaces in therapy with spectacular self-deception and conscious untruths. Besides, it’s a good marching song if you ‘need something more / just to get up and out the door’.”
