FDA Associates Chantix with Cardiovascular Issues

The U.S. Food & Drug Administration has announced, in a safety notice on its website, that the number of heart attacks and strokes in patients on Chantix is “uncommon.”  In a study of 4,190 Chantix users, 13 were found to have experienced a major cardiovascular event, compared with six of 2,812 who took a placebo.
