Derek Blumke

Derek Blumke is an advocate and writer with a focus on mental health policy. Derek is an Air Force Afghanistan War veteran. Previously, Derek co-founded and served as the President of Student Veterans of America (SVA), was the founding director of a national mental health program for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, was a NYC based tech entrepreneur and is the former Editor of the Veterans and Military Families Editor for Mad in America. He now leads advocacy efforts for the Grunt Style Foundation to reduce the harm caused by overprescribing psychotropic medications to our Nation's veterans and all Americans.
